About the NMC-PEIN

The NMC-PEIN is an inter-jurisdictional community of managers and aspiring managers from the federal, provincial, and municipal government sectors on Prince Edward Island.  These managers are active in building the managers’ community by taking advantage of partnerships and collaborative opportunities for collective learning and development, and contributing to effective management in the public sector on PEI. 

The community provides managers opportunities for mutual support, sharing experience and expertise, tools, lessons learned, and best practices.  We have access to the National Managers’ Community learning products and initiatives, such as coaching and facilitation.  We exchange experience and advice on learning, organizational development, and learning strategies with the Canada School of Public Service and other stakeholders.   We facilitate the exchange of relevant knowledge for making decisions in rapidly changing times.  Contributing to policy effectiveness, we have the capacity to identify and engage in dialogue on significant issues of relevance to managers on PEI with senior policymakers federally and provincially.

The NMC-PEIN welcomes the participation of all managers and aspiring managers in the public sectors on PEI.  We also welcome chairs of regional and departmental networks, representatives of Federal Council, and chairs of communities of practice; informal leaders and experienced subject-matter experts whose commitment supports the objectives of the National Managers’ Community.
